Cancellation of your holiday
In the event of cancellation, advised to us in writing, fax, or email, we will attempt
to re-let the cottage for the period concerned. If successful the cost of the holiday
that has been paid, less a handling charge of £40.00, will be refunded.
Please note that any unpaid balance due at the time of cancellation remains due unless
or until we are able to arrange a replacement letting and must be paid within seven
days of demand.
Cancellation Insurance Scheme
In the light of the above we have introduced and reccomend the following scheme:
In return for the payment at the time of booking of the premium £20.00 per cottage per
week we will refund in full the deposit and/or final payment in the event of cancellation
for any of the reasons stated below:
- Death, accident or sickness of yourself, partner, child, parent or close relative.
Conditions for which medical advice or treatment were being received prior to booking
are excluded.
- Burglary at your home or work resulting in the Police requesting your presence
- Jury service, witness summons or compulsory quarantine of anyone in your party
- Fire, explosion, subsidence, storm, flood or malicious damage rendering your own
home uninhabitable
We must be advised immediately by telephone of any occurrence giving rise to a claim.
This should be confirmed by 1st class post which will be acknowledged by us to confirm
receipt and to request the appropriate evidence. Any costs relating to Medical
Certificates or other evidence will be soley at your expense.
Should any of the above cause curtailment of your holiday a refund based on the number
of days taken will be made.
The premium for this scheme is not refundable.
